The Langford Centre provides Low Secure, High Dependency Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute services. We support our patients from the point of admission to engage in their recovery pathway to promote successful reintegration back in to the community.

The Langford Centre is able to offer an internal recovery pathway for Service Users transitioning from our Secure Unit to our High Dependency Rehabilitation wards whilst still being supported by the same multi-disciplinary team. All wards have access to their own private garden and therapy kitchens and all bedrooms offer en-suite bathrooms.

We have fantastic links with various community organisations, including Bexhill College (where our Service Users are able to access various college courses), East Sussex Football Disability Leagues, East Sussex Disability Cricket League, Bags of Taste, East Sussex Recovery College, Hastings Furniture Restoration, Kiss my Disco, Barby Keel Animal Sanctuary, Chilli farm and many other community organisations that help our Service Users become re-integrated.

Interventions & Expertise

All Service Users undergo a 12 week assessment process from admission to establish their individual needs and to develop a bespoke recovery pathway plan, identifying recovery goals collaboratively with their psychologist and occupational therapist. Following this, each patient will receive an individual therapy timetable and embark on their recovery pathway. During this they will have access to both one to one and group interventions which include:
