Introduction

Croham Place is a specialist Mental Health and Acquired Brain Injury/Neurocognitive care home located in South Croydon, Surrey which supports up to thirty five Service Users over three separate units, The Manor, The Beeches and Nightingales. We focus on improving Service User’s quality of life through promoting independence and empowerment, while supporting our Service Users to reach their maximum rehabilitation potential.

Service Description

THE BEECHES – 12 BEDS, ALL MALE UNIT
THE MANOR – 14 BEDS, MALE & FEMALE UNIT
THE NIGHTINGALE – 9 BEDS, MALE UNIT

THE MANOR is a 14 bedded unit that supports males and females with a diagnosis of acquired brain injury (ABI) and/or Mental Health issues who also have complex nursing needs and physical disabilities. The majority of people we support on an ongoing basis suffer from limb paralysis and are wheelchair bound. We have hoists in every room, large spacious areas and widened doorways for accessibility. Croham Place provides an in house Physiotherapy service led by a Physiotherapist registered with both the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Health & Care Professions Council.

THE BEECHES is a 12 bedded unit that supports males only with an ABI and/or Mental Health diagnosis. Individuals in our care may present with a variety of neurological (E.g. Dementia, Huntington’s, Korsakoff’s and Alzheimer’s disease) and Mental Health (E.g. Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder) diagnoses.

NIGHTINGALES is a care home with twenty four hours nursing located in Croydon, Greater London, supporting up to nine working age gentlemen who have a Neurocognitive/Acquired Brain Injury condition.

  • MAY HAVE A DIAGNOSIS OF ABI/NEUROCOGNITIVE DISORDERS
  • MAY HAVE A MENTAL HEALTH DIAGNOSIS
  • MAY HAVE PHYSICAL DISABILITIES AND/OR COMPLEX NEEDS
  • MAY HAVE A RANGE OF COMPLEX CARE NEEDS
  • MAY HAVE BEHAVIOURS THAT CHALLENGE
  • MAY HAVE RISKS REQUIRING A MORE
  • ROBUST COMMUNITY PLACEMENT
  • MAY HAVE A FORENSIC OR SIGNIFICANT RISK HISTORY
  • MAY BE INFORMAL, SUBJECT TO DoLS,
  • CONDITIONAL DISCHARGES, CTO’S OR ON LICENCE AS DIRECTED BY THE PAROLE BOARD
