Bramley Health – The Nightingales Expert Led Training Approach
–

Our purpose-built service The Nightingales based in South London has now been open and fully operational since January 2021. We have already welcomed 5 new individuals into the service leaving us with only 4 vacancies across the service. We are also proud to be supported by Ai Training and Consulting that has been developing and upskilling our teams across Bramley Health and The Nightingales.

The Nightingales supports gentleman with an acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury and mental health needs. Our Service Users have transitioned from mental health inpatient services, neurorehabilitation services, secure services, and placements that have broken down in the community where the needs have become too challenging to support. We also support Service Users that may have a premorbid mental health diagnosis and experience a variety of physical health conditions.

Ai Training & Consulting have been supporting Bramley Health with bespoke training and coaching packages to complement our own in house training programmes. Their service is underpinned with Service User led training and delivered through a holistic training experience for our staff and Service Users. We are also pleased to share with you that The Nightingales is managed by Kasandra Masango who has extensive experience in working in Addictions, Dual diagnosis and prison/forensic Service Users. Kasandra holds a BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing.

Bramley Health are delighted to work alongside Ai’s trainers and facilitators to help us deliver an exceptional service that benefits both our staff and our Service Users promoting best practice, reducing, preventing, and successfully managing behaviours that challenge the service. We are able to support individuals subject to Ministry of Justice (MoJ) restrictions, Community Treatment Orders (CTO’s) – including individuals applicable to Deprivation of Liberties Safeguarding (DoLS) and on Licence as directed by the Parole Board.

Where Ai shine is supporting the development and delivering training and interventions specific to our needs using an approach that respects both our Service User and our staff. Ai also encourages our staff to contribute to their learning by sharing examples and processing solutions. An approach that enhances knowledge, skills and promotes an attitude that is transferable to practice. Ai continue to work closely with Bramley Health to evaluate staff through observation and assessments and will be crucial to the service development plans for our Service Users and staff.
