Heron View rated as Good in latest CQC inspection

We are proud to announce that Heron View has received a CQC rating of good in all domains following its recent inspection in June 2019. We would also like to take this opportunity to inform our customers that Heron View has opened it newest unit (Elgin), offering an additional twelve beds taking the service up to a total of twenty four beds across two units.

We also welcome our newest member to the team Jomina Gilles MCMI who is our Registered Manager for Heron View and comes with over 25 years of Healthcare experience. Jomina has previously supported several care homes and prides herself on the ability to maintain and deliver safe and effective services.

Heron View is a care home with nursing located in Croydon supporting twenty four gentleman who have a Mental Health need and/or a Neurocognitive/Acquired Brain Injury condition which affects their behaviour, ability to process information and ability to function independently. The service specialises in managing aggression, challenging presentations, agitation, sexual disinhibiting, Dementia, Huntington’s, Korsakoff’s, Alzheimer’s and other behaviours that pose a risk to themselves and others.

Heron View has already supported a wide range of admissions for residents needing a specialist Mental Health community placement and the service has also successfully assisted local and surrounding commissioners to repatriate out of area residents closer to home counties. The service offers a safe and comfortable environment for up to twenty four residents who either require or benefit from a male only service. We have a specialist and dedicated team that compromises of a Registered Manager, Operations Manager, Nursing Staff and qualified Care Staff to support our residents.

Heron View is a purpose built environment that provides spacious modern amenities, specially adapted open communal spaces and direct access to secure landscaped external gardens and grounds. We encourage our residents to personalise their bedrooms with all rooms offering en-suite bathrooms including access to shared assisted bathrooms where required.
